Players from both lines run forwards at the same time, with the ball carrier crossing over in front of the other player.
When the players cross over they should switch the ball between them.
At this point the player in possession should try and get around the defender to get a clear shot off on goal.
To begin with the defender should remain completely inactive and serve only as an inanimate obstacle to the attacker.
However, as the drill progresses the defender should become more active and you could even add a second defender for the attackers to try and get past to score.
